As the summer winds down I start getting excited about the coming of fall. My favorite time is September, October and November....The color of the leaves start to change and the beauty of nature starts. Every month has it's own presonality, but the fall does it for me. Each month in the year have a romance with my soul but when the days get shorter the leaves start turning, the harvest starts, a new world opens up for me. Maybe it signals my brain to get ready for the winter. It is a time when, I hunt with my dogs and truly love to watch their excitment with freedom. It is a time when a flannel shirt feels good against my skin. Holloween and Thanksgiving are my favorite holidays...The fun of dressing up for a harvest party with big orange pumkins, that have layed around getting fat all summer now feed us pumkin pie and become Jac'o lanterns. When November comes I feel a sadness knowning that my favorite months are behind me. One last hunt with my dogs before it turns to cold, walking through the fields and hearing the flocks of geese heading south as the wind blows the last leaves from their mother tree, falling to replenish the earth. What is your favorite month cozy dwon by a fire in December or Lay in the sun in July....?
Charles Kuralt from the CBS Morning Show "On The Road" wrote a book called America. After retiring from CBS News in 1994, he set out to spend a perfect year in America -- traveling to his twelve favorite American places, in just the right month for a visit to each. In it he visited his 12 favorite places in this country at their favorite time of the year. The chapters are intitled Jan, Feb, Mar, etc. etc.
January is New Orleans. Montana in September. Alaska in June. North Carolina in April. I read this month and decided to visit his favorite places. So far I have enjoyed Charles' view of our country. So my favorite month is every month; just in a different part of the country each month.

I love August to October and despise November and especially December.
My favorite month is August...after all, it's my birth month. Seriously, I love the warmer months, so Spring and Summer are my favorite times of year as everything comes into bloom and the days grow longer and warmer.
Fall is pretty, though, and these days it's still warm here pretty late into it, so I don't mind the weather then even.
I do have to admit that I hate the cold and snow. Snow is lovely, and I don't mind it so much when I don't have to go out in it, but I hate it when I do have to drive.

Thank you,I also enjoyed your thoughts on the Months. To see each month change in our lives is a work of wonder and beauty. Each one having it's own personality. It is truly a gift from God.

I love all the months of the year as they all bring something new in their own inimitable way. When I get to the end of the 12 months I then can thank God for getting me through another wonderful year.Don't you just love getting old

How else would we have the memorable moments of the past. The months behind now the months ahead. The circle of life.
I am already starting to mourn the loss of my beloved summer regretting that there's been mostly rain and I sadly have worked so many hours there has been no time to go feel the warmth of sand under curled toes, luxuriated with a particularly mind boggling puzzle book and just listened to the sound of the ocean seagull cries and the smell of sea air. Many a tear has been soothed by just the sight/sounds of the Ocean. Short days cold weather having to cram my toes into closed shoes and socks after the luxury of open toed shoes and colorful pedicures; scrapping the car off before I can struggle out of the house with a little one to school bundled in a coat that is just too hot once im in the car just not my idea of fun I don't like the dreariness of winter I am a definite child of summer

I see a trip to Florida in your future. You have a love for the ocean that is calling you. I live there in the winter. I do enjoy the walks on the beach in December it is christmas with palm trees and the seagulls singing jingle bells....
