Sojourner: Why do people get rude when you ask a simple question?
I gave up along time ago trying to figure out why some people do what they do.I just move on cause it's not really you they're upset with it's something within themselves.

I don't know about that but I've just learned that people are who they are and you can't change them.
That's what so hard sometimes about not being able to see to whom you're conversing with over the internet cause it's very tempting sometimes to assume a different meaning into what that person may have posted.

I think people learn rudeness from their parents. When a child grows up hearing a parent calling the other a stupid @#$%^& or mocking him/her in front of other people it sends a message to the child that this is acceptable behavoir, after all, it must be ok because the grownups are doing it. There are a few on here who are very rude and I doubt they even realize it. It's just normal to them.

I think what Ooby said makes a lot of sense, but also some people here tend to wade in with a knee-jerk reaction, without thinking about what they are saying and how they are coming across.
To be fair, it is easy to do that via this medium of communication and doesn´t necessarily reflect the true character of a person.
Of course if it is a regular occurrence from the same person or people then that is different. They are just plain rude.
