I agree with your girlfriends. Size matters, but it is not the only thing that matters; size is not the dealbreaker than intelligence and personality are.
Good post. I agree. I live in the EU and am covered by universal health care. Income taxes are abour 32% but that isn't just for health care, it is the total of what you pay in taxes, for all services, local and national--roads, police, fire, emergency, parks, etc. I haven't used it much as I am quite healthy. It covers basic dental and eye care as well. I think Americans are being quite ridiculous about their fears over universal health care. I hope once you have it for a while and get used to it, you will see what a benefit it is.
I live in the European Union and the EU does not take precedence over the autonomy of or individual constitutional government of member countries, as the OP implies would happen to the US if this treaty is signed. Any country who wants to can withdraw from the EU at any time. These countries have not given up their individual sovereignty.
To make it last as long as possible and get as much nutrition, I'd buy beans (protein), rice (starch) and tomato sause (vegetble and vitamin C)....And chili powder!!
