This is so funny...and so odd that republicans are complaining about this. When Clinton left office, the American economy was in the black. Within a very few months of the Bush administration, it was back in the red by billions and billions of dollars. And now you are having such fits about Obama spending money. If Bush had not destroyed the strong economy Clinton built, Obama would not have to go into debt to enact his programs. Historical perspective instead of just blind criticism would go a long way.
I am not being snide nor am I being arrogant....it is what I have heard and read over and over again: it doesn't matter what he does, from the moment he was elected the right wing has been attacking everything mercilessly....not based on anything except for the fact he is a democrat. Had a republican been elected, no matter what that guy did, you'd all be saying what the democrats are saying about Obama: give him a chance. Don't condemn him before you see what he can to. But you do, you all condemn everything, virtually every thing he does. So, I am in no way intending to be snide at all: it is what I see. Bring him down seems to be the ONLY thing that matters. Reality doesn't matter at all. Can see how he and his policies are going down outside of America. I've been listening to BBC news and there is not one iota of criticism about his speech. There is not one hint that ANYONE thinks he was too apologetic, that he demeaned America. Quite the opposite. In order for the American president to function and to gain the world's support, he needs to make friends with them, to work with them. He's trying to do that. It is important. Whether you like his internal policies or not, his international relations are essential to the survival and strength of American society and its economy. We cannot simply bully the rest of the world into submission.
You see it as apologizing because of your right wing perceptions: the rest of the world sees it as making amends for the horrible mistakes of the previous American president, and, as I said, a lot of statesmanship. One thing that America really, really needs to display right now is some humility. That is not demeaning: it is a good, tactical move, and good STATESMANSHIP.
Like I said, the ONLY thing you seem capable of doing intellectually is sneering. There is nothing in his speech which is demeaning. It was pure statesmanship. If one of your republican heros were speaking the very same words, you'd be praising him. Why, because for people like you, it isn't at all about ideas or even reality, it's about who is a right wing republican zealot.
Conrad, I've read many of your reactionary posts about the state of American politics, gun laws, etc. It isn't surprising you think this particular post is a clever response. News flash: It isn't...it is just another illustration of your limitations. Sneering is what you do best.
Indeed. It is also my perception that the rest of the world, outside the US, based on news reports coming from those countries, do not believe at all that Obama is demeaning his country. When did statesmanship become demeaning?
Exactly my point. It is the republicans who are criticizing Obama for this attempt to mend relations with our 'foes.' If it were a republican president doing it, they'd be singing a different song.
What's the difference between Nixon mending relations with China and Obama mending relations with the Muslim world? Oh, I know--it's because the Chinese government wasn't/isn't repressive...
"U.S. President Richard Nixon's 1972 visit to the People's Republic of China was an important step in formally normalizing relations between the United States and the People's Republic of China. It marked the first time a U.S. president had visited the PRC, who at that time considered the U.S. one of its staunchest foes. …..Improved relations with the Soviet Union and the People’s Republic of China are often cited as the most successful diplomatic achievements of Nixon’s presidency." wikipedia
Where is the mommy cat? If they have been taken away from the mother cat too soon, it could cause this. Usually the mother cat shows the kittens how to use the litter box. How did they get trained to use the box.
The reason they are continuing to go outside the litter box now is because they smell it elsewhere, where others have gone. You have to get the smell out of every place where they are going. You may have to isolate them in one room for a while, a room where you've cleaned up and gotten ridden of the smell, and they have no option but to use the box.
RE: Obama's Cairo Speech
sorry...don't disagree with it on literal terms...
