The irony is that if the teacher wasn't boring, the student wouldn't yawn. So, it's pretty ironic if the teacher punishes the student for yawning, when it is the teacher who is the reason for the yawning.
I suppose what I don't like is men who write to me who haven't read my profile. Why are they writing? What's the point of trying to connect with someone who may have absolutely nothing in common with you?
Too many things are against the law now. It should be against the law to make more laws before we review the ones we have and chuck out those that are not effective.
There is seldom or ever only one truth. So, you experience might be that when you speak your truth, people get pissed off. BTW, this post is my truth and might piss you off.
Nice people, good people, sensitive people get hurt more easily than those who are a bit harder. However, also people who are too needy, too dependent, and who choose the object of their affection less carefully tend to get hurt more often.
With the right person, I have a lot of fun instant messaging and have done it for hours at a time with the same person. I'm a fast typist and they need to be too.
Can you fall in love and be sure that he or she is the one you want for your partner, to spend you life with before you have become lovers? Or do you need to experience physical intimacy before knowing for certain this is the right 'one'?
None of the above. Joking and teasing, smiling. But generally I am not a flirt and never initiate flirting. However, will respond to flirting, if the man is not unattractive....
I think that we of that generation had a lot of fun, most of us. Some had a very bad time. Those young men who went to Vietnam certainly had a rough time and many, of those who came home alive, never recovered, I knew some of them, including a cousin who came back from Nam addicted to drugs and alcohol and eventually, accidently, set his house on fire and died of smoke enhalation. (He was still quite young.) I do think, however, that the cultural changes that happened during that time have affected us greatly, for the better and in some ways, for the worse, but definitely had a very big effect.
I've been of the beaches of several Western European countries over the past few years, on beaches that are not designated especially for nudisum and have seen nudisum, though limited. I think it is not illegal everywhere.
I've been spending a lot of time in areas where Europeans from all over Europe, east and west, go for holiday. I'm basing it on that. Perhaps when they are on their home turf and 'everyone' is doing it, they feel freer about it, but not in areas where they are around others who aren't doing it. Also, I've lived in German, and West Germans are freer about nudity than many other Europeans. Your post says people from the East, whereas it might be more precise to specific East Germans.
If they go to the same church, I would tell her to talk to the pastor and ask the pastor to talk to him and counsel him. Someone who this guy respects needs to make it clear that his attentions are unwanted and disturbing.
Its back to school time folks, remember in grade school - your first day back from holidays, and you had to write a "what I did over the summer holidays" story?? Lets hear em...
I spent time in the south of Europe, getting lots of sun, for a change.
To me, I think it is how you use it (television or the internet). So the idea of 'when it is good, nothing is better' or 'when it is bad, nothing is worse' really applies to my use of either medium. I can waste a lot of time on the internet. If I had television, which I don't now, I could waste a lot of time watching mindless stuff. Or I can use both productively.
The Wasteland Speech was given by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman Newton N. Minow on May 9, 1961:
"When television is good, nothing — not the theater, not the magazines or newspapers — nothing is better. But when television is bad, nothing is worse......"
If television is a vast wasteland, what about the internet? Are both vast wastelands? What is the positive value of the internet?
RE: given a free air ticket? do i take it???
You live in Washington, DC. Which America is he flying you to?
