The love and hope has not gone, it is just that wisdom and foresight is now included. My generation has set a bad example, at least the younger generation are learning from this and are not so deluded now as to the "I'll love you forever and ever" sentiment.
I supose in the long run this is not good business for the solicitors if a pre-nup is in place, as there will be no long drawn out financial battles for them to charge an exorbitant hourly rate for.

I had a wonderful 22 yr marriage I would still be married if he haddnt passed away. I liked the commitment of marriage. Yes we had our problems like everyone else, but you work on them and make the marriage stronger. You marry because you want to be with that person till death do you part.

I have been married and divorced twice and for all the wrong reasons, the first I was never ready for although I thought I was at the time , the second time involved a person that contributed to the demise of the first marriage, another BIG mistake, and the almost third, (engagement) I broke off for valid reasons. Would I do it again? I could not answer that question unless the situation
