Between my sisters and I, I think we have had this debate a million times. My oldest sister dated her boyfriend for 6 months and moved in. 3 years later they got engaged and a year after that married. Now my older sister dated her significant other for 4 and 1/2 months and moved in. Now at 6 months she is hoping for a ring. I say that I'd too fast but hell, what do I know?
What is the appropriate time for a couple before engagement and marriage. Also, should they live together? What do you think?
I think all relationships are different, and move at a different pace... Seems to me its a little fast with your older sister, but if they have spent enough time together and know each other well enough to take the next step, I would be happy for her... and hope she is making the right choice... I dont think theres anything wrong with living together , if thats what both in the relationship want. JMO
I find it all depends on the people involved. Some seem to move way too fast in my opinion, but later are still stupidly happy together. While on the other hand, those who took their sweet time about things, are seperated and miserable about the whole thing. Hmm, weird. It's all a crap-shoot anyways.

It is good to wait a few years or so before getting engaged then married a couple of years later. As for living together, it would be advisable after a year or so of being a couple. It pays to have an ideas as to whether or not they will be compatible in the same home and to see if they are both ready for the responsibilites that come with it.
