beauty is in the eye of the beholder...beauty comes from inside ..whats the point of "trying" to look beautiful for someone else..be your self if you cant love your self how can you expect someone else to..
passion8: Because guys are always putting us down......
You must not listen to someone who puts you down or says that you are not pretty. It doesn't matter what they think. You may not be pretty to them, but you are pretty to someone else and most importantly to God. God doesn't make junk. If a man is putting you down, there is a serious character flaw in him for even doing so. A person who is good and decent on the inside would never do such a thing to anyone. It says a lot about a person if they put other people down.
There are so many reasons why people change their looks... some of them don't really do it to be more appealing to others, it's more a taste related thing.
But some people who obsess about looking hotter, younger, thinner, taller, etc. Might have been “taught” to not to accept themselves by people who always tease them and whatnot… And sadly this sometimes happens within the family!
I remember when I was young (probably around 12 years old) a neighbor had a daughter about my age, and it was the mother who’d have her daughter go on a diet, and she wasn’t even heavy! She was growing up! I also remember not long ago being at the salon having my hair cut when this lady came in with her young daughter (she couldn’t have been older than 10 or 11). She had the girl’s eyebrows waxed and plucked… poor thing was crying in pain! Ok, she might’ve had kind of thick eyebrows… but these are young girls we are talking about! And their wacko mothers! I have plenty of examples like these, some of them I can give from my own personal experience: I didn’t like make-up, but my mother’s sisters would always be asking me why I didn’t bother… One of them would call me and my sister fat… and the list goes on.
So I say that if you like changing your hair color, wearing make up, wear certain type of clothes, etc, it’s okay as long as it is because you feel like doing it out of fun… And don’t listen to those who just criticize and pick on you.

Because my mom always told me that I'm ugly.. Dunno why she said that but I believe it until today If there is a man like me & told me that I'm beautiful, I will deny it & say that he is a liar..

If everyone was beautiful, there would be no such thing as beauty. - We are what we are, nothing more, nothing less.
It's the advertizing industry. They do things like digitally make women thinner and digitally retouch their skin to hide all their skin flaws. Then, they spend hours doing their hair and makeup. Then, real women look at the ads and buy the same clothing, hair spray, and makeup and never look the same in them. I mean, I have heard of stuff like teeen models being duct taped to fit into their blue jeans for a photo shoot, and photographers assistants pinching the model's clothes in the back and putting clothes pins all down the back of a garment to make it look better on the model, and celebs having their sweaters shaped by a process called blocking and squaring so that their sweaters look better on them than a real sweater could ever look on a normal person.
Well that is sad. I was actually called an Ogre by a woman on here. All I tried to do was say hello. I don't understand it. Maybe you should like yourself before you try changing yourself everytime you are sad or whatever. Just be yourself. Shakespeare said it best, "To Thine Own Self Be True".
