paws2: Karma (Hindu, Buddhist) as opposed to the christian version of redemption ?
Hmmm, good question!! I'm a non practising catholic ie I'm born with a title thanks/no-thanks to my ancestors. I know from Catholicism that confession resolves sins but in reality I doubt that. I'm a firm believer in Karma and what you reap you shall sow. This life or the next depends how I live now and as for redemption or forgiveness, am I unconditionally honest.

There is no get-out-of-jail-free card with Karma. It is the law of what-you-sow-so-shall-you-reap. No redemption there. No doing something to evade the consequences.
If you do good you get good. If you do bad, it comes back and slaps you in the face.
Christians have ways of evading the consequences of their actions on every level. No comparison between the two.
