wildkittymt.view, Oklahoma USA34 Threads 1 Polls 1,308 Postsokay, if you look on this year betty crockers cookie mixes, it says makes 3 dozen cookies, okay kool, but then look on the back of the package, total of servings is 18 cookies. WTF! they are cheating us out of cookies. 18 is only a dozen and half of cookies. So where is the rest?.. What a rip off! I think betty crocker needs a cussing..

oh you, but thats not the point, they are ripping people off..
Anything for a extra buck, i could of made cookies cheaper and more than what they have in those packages. and probably taste better too.

well after i bake these cookies, i won't be buying any betty crocker products anymore, instead of betty crocker, it should be betty crock. because its a crock of crap..

Maybe you can make either small or large cookies?
You could make monster cookies, and have only 9 if you like!

Outrageous!! D'ya know..... sometimes I do wonder what the baking world is coming to?!!
Think of it this way though.... if this is as bad as it gets to what's going on in the rest of your life, don't count your blessings, eh?

I only make my own because Betty Crocker tastes bad but that would suck if your counting on a specific number of cookies

Here you go, far easier than using some cr*p pre mix with god knows what chemicals
Cornish Fairy Biscuits
3/4 cup (100 g) 4 oz flour
pinch of salt
1 level tsp (5 ml) baking powder
1 level tsp (5 ml) Bicarbonate of soda (Baking soda)
1 level tsp (5 ml) ground ginger
1/2 level tsp (2.5 ml) Mixed Spice (All Spice / Pumpkin pie spice)
1/2 stick (4 Tbsp) 2 oz (50 g) butter
1/4 cup (50 g) 2 oz sugar
3 tbsp (60 ml) golden syrup (substitute light corn syrup)
method
1. Sift the flour with the salt, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda, ginger and mixed spice. Rub in the butter and add the sugar.
2. Warm the syrup and add it to the other ingredients; mix well to a fairly stiff consistency.
3. Roll into small balls and place them 10 cm (4 inch) apart on two buttered baking sheets.
4. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400f) mark 6 for about 8 minutes.
