parvati: it is a nice game most favourite game of asia and the national game of uk

I love the game.... Sunny Sunday afternoons with friends in competative spirit.
A good social sport too.

You may have to forgive some of our American friends..... unfortunately they can only understand baseball, not the complexities of cricket ! rolling on the floor laughing

thumbs up bouquet

I was only teasing.... yes I do remember, particularly the consistent whitewashes we used to get.

Some of the worlds greatest players have come from the Windies, my favourite being Viv Richards...... straight sixes in one over... against !!! doh

As with most sports, certain teams/players dominate for a period of time then seem to loose their way...... Being an Englishman, don't I know it laugh laugh

The Windies certainly set the "bar" very high back then and I look forward to the time they will do so again thumbs up

It's always a good event when the English meet the Windies, and something to behold when you beat us at our own game blues

CRICKET: As explained to a foreigner...

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay all out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

You went so close to beating us last week in the Adelaide test, the West Indies arent far off being a very good team again
