Well, I'll tell you what xpeejayx, if you were to be living in Los Angeles, and if you were to want to meet me, you would feel very differently about the Men you come across here on Connecting Singles. I must be an exception to your personal rule considering that I am here on Connecting Singles in hopes of finding a Lifetime Partner.
I believe that IT IS THE WOMEN who really the ones who are actually "Playing Games" here on this Website. One time, I was chatting with a Woman for 2-3 Hours here on Connecting Singles. We exchanged phone numbers and when I was calling her number, all I was getting was her Voicemal. I would leave her messages, and they never got retuned. One other time, a Woman did give me her number, we talked regularly, and I told here that I wanted to meet her. We set a date, and within the week when I was about to meet her, she left me a message saying "Somethng spiritual told her that I was wrong for her". And we never met.
After all I just told you. Do you still believe that Men are playing games here on Connecting Singles? But it's a shame that you don't live here in Los Angeles to see whether or not I am lying to you, because you live in Canada, meaning that you are in another country from me. Maybe it is I who believe that he is "Wasting His Time" on this website.

I too used to take all this quite seriously, until I realized that you just have to put your rubber gloves on, take a shovel and DIG. You're going to be talking to a lot of people, some very interesting and even potentially compatible, but UNTIL you've at least met in person, you CANNOT (must not! for your own sake) take anyone too seriously on the internet. Once you realize that, you're pretty game-proof, really. You're only going to feel "hurt" when you allow yourself to have too many hopes and expectations, build castles in the air etc. BEFORE anything particular has actually materialized with that person. Do build them, but don't put any particular person into them. And, if someone turns you down - be GLAD, not sorry!! It only means one thing - this was NOT the right person for you. (no matter how beautiful they were or how cool their profile sounded)
I dunno, I've had LOTS of phone talks (well, mostly Skype talks) with people on here, very nice people too, and none of them played games...

Well, be glad; last guy I fell for, I talked to for months and in the end I decided to help him and pay for his flight to come back to Belgium.
Turns out he doesn't look anything like his pictures; he's a fake, a liar and a thief and above all now, he's playing his sympathy card on the forums here and telling the world the women he met from CS have mental problems... yes, right, mental problems to fall for these stories and wanting to help out someone less fortunate... and helping yet another freeloading looser into the country abusing the welfare system
