A sad time
People affecting an attitude of goodwill they do not possess
Then they return to their mean-spirited ways

I will buy a bottle of cheap wine for a homeless man
That's all

I enjoy the getting together with family and friends if they have no place to go. Reminiscing on past holidays, having a good meal, relaxing after clean-up to watch football, etc. Then in there somewhere watching the grandkids open their gifts. Also making sure why we celibrate Christmas is made known. Yes, we have had non-believers at many of our Christmas get togethers. But on this day we respect each others belief and do not get into a religious discussion. I guess that did not come out right, because they are friends and we respect them and they us all year. Just this day we and they give a short reason why we are together. hug wine reindeer

For those of you who have families to share Christmas time with - spare a little thought for those of us that don't have that. Think about a neighbour that may be spending the whole of Christmas and New Year on his/her own and think about how you would feel if it was you. A little smile, a little card, a little care... would go an awful long way at Christmas time.

This year, I will spend Christmas and New Year on my own, but I will know that millions of people all over the world will be doing the same thing.

If you DO have a big family Christmas... count your blessings and never take your loved-ones for granted.

Christmas is the end of the season and the birth of another. We have gone through the birth of new life and the end of another. It is only a year but the harvest this year was weak. We all have hope for the new crops.

Christmas is love and spending time with our families and friends. To mend wounds, putting aside differences and begin anew.

Christmas is also about giving to those who may be less fortunate then myself.I believe that giving of ourselves we're acting as agents of Santa Claus.

On this day of Christ, I would want to be with someone who understands it's meaning, than to be with people who just want it. I will give to those who need or to those who deserve what I have to offer. If I have no money let me wash your feet. If I have food let me feed you. If you need a hug and a smile of understanding let me give it to you. I have so little, but I will give it to you so freely.
