Hi..Happy New Year to u all my friends....!
We Buddhists believe on reincarnation. The cycle of the birth ,death and the rebirth (sansara) should be broken to have the enlightenment and to stop the journey and the sorrow of this sansara.
the longest is the mile for the tireness the longest is the night for the awakness the longest is the sansara for the foolish
When everyone realizes they can not die, the impetus to injure or kill, to create suffering in others, which is really the self, the sooner we will become the humanity we only think of, when we see the hell we have created.

So you just die and are reborn over and over ....is there no end to this cycle....no wonder there are so many people here....

wulfen: I'm no expert on Buddhism so what I say here may not be 100% correct.
Buddhists believe that when you die, you are re-incarnated as a superior or inferior lifeform depending on your actions in your past life.
For example, if you do something really bad, you get reborn as some disgusting creepy crawly such as a fly or worm.
If on the other hand you have lived a good life, you are born as a more beautiful/stronger etc person.
This cycle goes on till you reach nirvana, or enlightenment, where you will leave phsyical form and become one with the spiritual.
As I already said, I'm no expert on the subject so any Buddhists here can (will) certainly correct me.
Yep.. Nirvana means to end up the everything of a living being physical body as well as the astralbody (with the mind) . so nothing is remain Not even any spirit. Just like the light of the blown off lamp.
It completely explains so many things including our many soulmates and why we have chemistry with some people and not others even when they are drop dead gorgeous!! When we find that special connection with someone, it's the recognition of the soul we have shared past lives with that sets them apart from all the rest and they are beautiful no matter how they look.
