The cycle of the birth ,death and the rebirth (sansara) should be broken to have the enlightenment and to stop the journey and the sorrow of this sansara.

I'm no expert on Buddhism so what I say here may not be 100% correct.
Buddhists believe that when you die, you are re-incarnated as a superior or inferior lifeform depending on your actions in your past life.
For example, if you do something really bad, you get reborn as some disgusting creepy crawly such as a fly or worm.
If on the other hand you have lived a good life, you are born as a more beautiful/stronger etc person.
This cycle goes on till you reach nirvana, or enlightenment, where you will leave phsyical form and become one with the spiritual.
As I already said, I'm no expert on the subject so any Buddhists here can (will) certainly correct me.

Yep.. Nirvana means to end up the everything of a living being physical body as well as the astralbody (with the mind) . so nothing is remain Not even any spirit. Just like the light of the blown off lamp.
