At the time I first join this site I wasn't interested in looking for someone at the time anyway.
You can have an interest in someone off dating sites and find out they're already taken.Some seem to hide the fact they are already taken pretty good by faking it.

Not only have I liked someone from this site but was chatting regularly to where I thought there might be something between us, only to have an announcement show up in the forums that he was officially a couple with someone else.

I have liked many members that have been spoken for but not in the sense of wanting an intimate relationship, no.
I would not entertain getting together with someone who is already attached, it invariably leads to heartache. Chances are it will be a huge ego-boost for him and I would prefer to maintain my dignity.....?!

The crucial thing is to differentiate between friendly banter and serious interest, that´s what seems to be difficult for some.
It´s one of the reasons I´ve never emailed all and sundry. I don´t want anyone to think writing to them because I have a romantic interest. Sad, but it happens, people do get the wrong idea, particularly after a lengthy correspondence time.
