I was 15 when I saw it and lived here in Belgium.
I have to say that, had I been depressed and suicidal, I would have jumped off a roof after seeing it. That's just one feeling I remember while seeing the movie. It's a very creepy movie and someone musta been completely out of their rockers when they wrote the screenplaylaugh

That album was practically part of our sound track as youth where I grew up - Pink Floyd were revered as gods and could do no wrong. Still agree, BTW!!

The film blew me away when I saw it as an 18 year old (many, many moons ago!) - would be fun to watch it now minus all the "enhancements" one was into at the time...

When I saw this movie the first time I didnt understand it,...but I think it focuses on the young lad... in the begining it shows how he lost his father in the war,was picked on by the teacher and laughed at by his schoolmates, his mother was protective of him,and struggled with the loss of his girlfriend which led him into depression,.....I think he risen up,...took control of his life and became a leader ( played by Bob Gedolf ) getting the respect he didnt have as a child and his adult life.... JMO

The movie might not of had a good story line....but the music and graphic animation I found was awesome ( to me anyway )...

Ive always loved "Pink Floyd's...The Wall" , an album which was one of their best sellers and their music....
cheers

Album wise The Wall together with the Dark Side of the Moon, are Pink Floyd's best albums. The Movie as their music is very pshycadelic, but great graphics. and scenography. Had the luck to see Pink Floyd in Wembley Arena during their Pulse Tour. Unfortunatly Roger Waters had already left, but had the fortune to see him live in Malta 4 years ago. Also Dark Side of the Moon, is the album that sold most.

The Great Gig in the Sky
(Wright) 4:44

"And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime."

"If you can hear this whispering you are dying."

"I never said I was frightened of dying."
