somewhere out there is your soulmate you just haven't connected with that person yet but soon you will. everyone has a soulmate

Sorry to hear this, it happens and will keep happening to all of us at some point. But think of all the good advice you are getting here from men and women and from their experiences too.
Try posting here a bit earlier when you start the next relationship. It may help much. Don't give up. When we go through a bad experience in life we build our character stronger.

lona726: Well the title says it all. A short and sweet version of what is happening is I was dating a guy who used me bad. told me he was 32 turned out to be 38. Got arrested after telling me he would never commit a crime and then lying about his crime. Later I find out he stole my credit card. I have been used and betrayed on every level. I have so much faith in people but starting to think that my faith may not be in the right place, maybe i should stick to my cats. lol
NO offense but I get so sick of women (and men for that matter) that make poor choices in their dating life and then when it doesn't work out, they don't blame themselves for choosing that person, they claim to be a victim and blame all men!

Well, it certainly pays to be cautious. I keep my heart guarded personally and it takes a long time before a man can earn my trust. If he truly cares for me, he will be patient but if not then he can feel free to walk away at any time.

You are right that we shouldn't blame all men or women for that fact. Thing is people are so lonely and want so much to beleive they have found the right person that they become blind to the person they are with. We all have to go in a relationship with great caution. Trust has to be earned and not given.

You didn't say how long it was before you put him in your confidence and got him home... How did he get to your card? It shows carelessness on your part. Maybe before thinking about whether there are good people in the world or not, one must make sure that the pink glasses aren't on once meeting a guy or girl.
Dishonesty is terrible but carelessness facilitates it.
Still, I'm sorry that happened to you and taking adventage of you was lower than low.
