I mean absolutely NO disrespect here, but having looked at your profile - that is normally a good indicator- I did note that you haven't used any comma's or full stops. It's just one garbled load of words.
Many ladies like to see some articulation as it gives an insight into the person.

Give it more time. You will get responses. Keep putting out the mails as you have been. Whilst it is commendable that you are being honest - I agree that mentioning the paranormal would put many off. I would leave that out of the profile and mention it later when you have a better opportunity to explain.
Being unemployed, no big deal these days, may not help. I too am unemployed at the moment. I am not saying that you should be dishonest, but some things can be explained a little later.
On the other hand, being totally upfront in your profile means that any replies you get will be from people who are REALLY interested.
