Partly true: The NRA refers here to the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which was put in place during former President Bill Clinton's administration. Title XI of the legislation spoke directly to regulations on assault weapons. The law outlawed the semi-automatic versions of 19 kinds of military-style assault weapons, but it expired in 2004. The "assault weapon ban" was always a misnomer, however. I've studied religion/theosophy/philosophy and I am very aware of the 5 main religions in the world, as well as the atrocities that have resulted because of Judaism/Islam/Christianity. Seems you're not on a first name basis with history and why the Puritans came to America in the first place.
I'm agnostic btw, not Atheist. I'm also a very spiritual person who believes in peace and change. You do realize the world is on a tilt right? Change is needed.

Respect used to be a two way street but it seems anymore that one side tries to dominate the other and this goes for both sides. We aren't designed to all be alike or to think or believe alike, but we should be able to put differences aside and work for the common good. Read some history..every nation that was disarmed...many were murdered soon after wards...you think your safe...perhaps today you are...but tomorrow..you may have an evil despot for your prime minister..and he may be an advocate of the United Nations..Depopulation program...and then what are you going to do about that?
