I wish I could quote exactly but Thomas Jefferson, one of the writers of the U.S.Constitution, for those of you who may never have heard of him, said that guns in the hands of the population is important so they could protect themselves from their own Government.

A very good question. The Constitution guarantees many things but good health care was not one of them. "The right to bear arms" however, is a right that is clearly part of the Constitution.

This is true, but the US citizens would be no match against the mighty US military. We'd have to take a lesson from how the Iraqi's fight the Americans in Iraq....or from George the fox Washington and how he chose his battles with the Red Coats....something he learned from the Native Indians.
