RE: There are two types of women here on CS..

If you would like to see the original video where that was excerpted from, look in the video section of CS. It shows a dog trying to hump a cat and that is the reason for the look on that cats face. rolling on the floor laughing

If things do not change before tomorrow it will be SilverFox. The next highest name is Luckyfox, so if silverfox is not available, I guess that is next in line.

RE: The best anti virus software.....according to you is...

Over the years I have used several including Nod32, Avast, Avira and also had a problem with Norton. Most times I used the free ones but got cought a couple of times when the time ran out before installing another one.
I am presently using Kaspersky after meeting their rep here in Cyprus. It seems to be pretty good so far. I'll decide if I want the paid version before the trial period is up. There is no doubt the paid version of any of them is better and has more protection.

In my youth I went to New York and studied Tap dance wanting to work in Broadway musicals as a singer or dancer or both. That all changed when I took a job as the Headline singer at a club in Southern New Jersey where I met my first wife, the pianist. We went on the road and ended up in Miami. Anyway I still like to dance, only if I can hold the lady while dancing.

Larry, I too thank you for posting that beautiful story. It is such a perfect example of true Love. I was remended of a movie named "The Note Book" with Jemes Garner. It'd hard to keep the eyes dry when such a story is told.

RE: Serious Christmas thread ......

Hi Mariola,
You have much to celebrate this Christmas, Be your best Mother hen ever and be blessed by being surrounded by your loved ones.
I am happy to have my lady and some new friends but I must admit that being away from either Honduras or the USA has made this my quietest Christmas in many years. I am grateful for my friends here in Cyprus, without them it would really be tough. cheers

RE: In the USA Jazz is dead, and good Rock too!!!

You surely struck a note with me Sugga. I can spend hours just absorbing the sweet sounds of Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Billy Holliday and so many wonderful artists from that period. I had the pleasure of sitting in a Miami club at a table not 10 feet from where Ella was singing. I had goosebumps. What a thrill. And yes, at 81 I am old enought to have been there,

RE: In the USA Jazz is dead, and good Rock too!!!

boybrent, I appreciate your question and I hope I can enlighten you at least from my perspective. Jazz, for the most part is an art form that allowed players to start with a melody then change it to the degree that you could keep the melody in your mind while playing notes all around it that are chromatically correct. Even dizzonants are correct if they resove in a correct manner. In order to hear the earliest and best of the virtual creators of jazz you need to listen to the works of people like Pianist, Art Tatum, early musicians from New Orleans, or perhaps some of the work of Miles Davis, the horn player. they all were so creative with there variations on the melody you sometimes needed to hum the melody in your head as you listened to them play.
Coltrane came along much later, I'm talking about the 1920's and 1930's and some 1940's Jazz. For me modern Jazz is not really as
together as the early stuff, but there are some fine players, mostly Keyboard.
If you love the sound of jazz you will enjoy the early music.

RE: In the USA Jazz is dead, and good Rock too!!!

I played Jazz and old standards for most of my life and I don't even listen to the worthless noise that passes as music today. I think real music left with the creation of music videos. In my day music was judged by it's quality of sound, structure and beauty, not how close to naked the singer was. Ah, how I love my old CDs. guitar bartender party

RE: For Expats Only: What are the things that you miss from your home country?

Actually there are several things I miss from the USA. I have been gone from there for about 10 years and I miss being able to go anywhere, anytime of day or night, never needing to consider immigration rules, then I miss the ease of buying a car or getting a license to drive it. Last time I moved to a different state It took all of 30 minutes to switch licenses. Perhaps, most of all I miss the familiarity of having already been in most parts of the USA. It's great to travel to other lands but going back home is nice too. handshake cheers

RE: Why women prefer romantic men?

Personally I think a man should learn as much as possible about the physiology of his partner and himself as well. Knowing how and where to simply touch can produce grand effects. After all, Love making can be so much more than just wham bamb, thank you mam, It can start with a hug from behind her with a sweet kiss on her neck. Then, of course, she can contribute to the romantic moment. teddybear danceline Romance means you care enought to take the time to show her she is very special to you. heart beating

RE: Why women prefer romantic men?

Being romantic is different things to different people. Some love the attention and compliments while others get all soft and sweet from a single red rose. None of us will always do the exact right thing until you have had time to learn the others responses. It take time to learn what makes the lady want to snuggle up and purr. Even then it isn't true for a few days every 28 days (ouch). Those are the times it is best to just play a lot of golf. sad flower
