I believe the founding fathers envisioned a place where a person had the freedom to pull himself up by his own efforts. Time and an increase of millions of people has conpromised that original thought. Folks who fell on hard times were assisted by neighbors and churches who knew them and understood their plight. I am a conservative to the core but can understand that those measures can no longer be used. There are just too many people now. Floods, pestilence, disease, wars and other disasters used to wipe out large numbers of people, leaving fewer to feed and care for. Now, with modern tech and medical treatments, people, like me, are living a lot longer putting stress on a system that was not designed to handle that. The result is that some form of Government intervention is inevitable to give aid to jobless, homeless etc. as a last resort. I suppose that could be called Liberalism. The problem is that the tail begins to wag the dog and there is no way out of the trap. My last comment is, show me a true liberal and I'll show you someone who is usually in deep debt. Only the leaders are rich and they collect poor people that believe their pipedreams and vote for their ideas without understanding things have to be paid for somehow. Tough questions for sure !!!!!!!
I owned a Deli in Key West and many of the customers were "limp of wrist". There was a Cotillion Dance at The Southernmost Motel and many of the "Ladies" all dressed up in their Waltzing best dropped in to the "La Ti Da" Restaurant / bar afterward. I remember one in particular, "she" was really something until you saw her face. She had a years makeup on the ugliest face the world had ever seen. I suppose being nearly 6 foot tall did not add to the feminine mystique. I later danced with a Lez named "Tonto". I sang a few songs with the piano player and had a fun time with a bunch of nutty people.
I hope everybody will try to post on this thread to help keep it high on the Thread list. Each post bumps it up. This has to be every family's worst nightmare.

You are so deluded you can't understand how millions of people could reject the Obama trainwreck on the horizon. The majority of people in the U.S. are smart enought to know that Socialism has never worked for any great length of time because it robs from the producers and rewards the non producers. The masses simply reduce their output to match the least effective person working there. I am proud of my countrymen for taking my country back from George Soros. I just had to reply. I used to work for Piper Aircraft in VB. I even bought a house in Xora Park and played music at Lennies on US 1 on weekends. Small world huh? VB is a nice place, I enjoyed living there. Now in Cyprus
My first was about 10 years ago and there were over 200 there for a 3 day event in Columbus Ohio. I have never laughed so hard for so long in my life. It was a BLAST !

That is the truth of the matter. You hit it right on the head. I think we fall in lust a lot easier than love. It could be that a site like this actually helps to sort that out sooner than in person in your home town.

I just looked at the rules and a mass mailing is prohibited by anyone except the CS mods, Hmmm, too bad they did not do the promotion for the meetup like they did for the Irish group. Go Figure! I have had to share a computer recently so I have not been as active on here, but I always enjoy seeing familiar faces I have come to look for. I think the best ones are the ones I have met face to face. That really makes them special ! I'm expecting to meet a whole bunch more at the Larnaca Meet Up. What a great way to make real friends of CS aquaintences.
I voted for the U.S. simply because women there are representitive of every country in the world. Each country has beautiful Women, each with a special quality of beauty that separates one from the other. There is no other single country where all the choices are in one place.
here are a huge number of girls and guys here in Cyprus so lets get to know each other. LETS GO GIRLS, get signed up. We all know if the girls sign up the fellows will follow. Don't be scared, this could be the no-stress way of meeting that person you have wanted to meet for a long time!
