Well, I did! A very nice man called Rusty Roberto who lives on Gozo. Was not a romantic thing .... just an invitation ... that we combined with a Get-Together in Malta.
Was VERY nice... And we remain good friends, same as all the folk living on Malta who came to meet me at our piss-up at Fat Harrys.
So, I`d say .. it all depends on the person issuing the invitation.....?... and the motives involved...?

I live in a vacation plsce and sometimes invite, it generally work out pretty good.

Well .... CS was more like a "family" in those days .... back 2 years ...... and he had problems which I thought he could use a helping hand with, so I offered to come over and help him out ..... he accepted .... and I got a free holiday! ....What a nice person he is, pity he keeps getting himself banned here, not everyone understands his warped sense of humour.... hahaaaa

Plus one woman who does not believe that such an invitation can be real.
Obviously we are always talking of a situation where you can always leave if you don't like the place or the company, which means that you can either afford the trip or anyway not being forced to stay.
And obviously it should be a legal trip and not a destination where a woman could be jailed as travelling with a man ( but I don't think that Muslim countries are that bad, perhaps I am wrong).
Basically 85% of men would accept , against 50% of women...
Let's wait for some more answers and then I can say my consideration.
Thank you all who gave an answer till now and I hope to get some more.
