I do agree. As long as looking in the past dosnt hinder your future. Everyone has good and bad in there past. It's what we dwell on that helps or hurts our present, or future, that will be the problem. Live life in the present. You can't change the past and the future hasn't been written yet.
It has been 18 years ago today that we buried our daughter.
Seven years ago today that my husband passed away.
But I am reliving with the beautiful and fun memories, hence the pun coffee thread today. My husband and I would see who got up the earliest to make coffee and have it ready for the other one just the way they liked it. We did that about our last ten years together. Also our daughter would tease us that we were shorter than her because we drank too much coffee I miss them like crazy but like to remember the better times.
Many of us get too comfortable with the present and are scared of the future and the unknowns it brings into our lives. My suggestion: get uncomfortable! Push your comfort zone!

HJFinAZ: Being Present
Realtiy can be a difficult place to live. Sometimes it seems impossible to stay in the here and now.
From time to time we all revisit the past and yearn for the future. This is natural. Being present every minute of the day is impossible for anyone.
Still, we can strive to be present for as many minutes as we can. We strive for progress, not perfection.
Today, am I doing what I can to be present? A small dose of reality is better than no reality at all.
Good morning hj i live in the present, but the world would be a sad place with out a future..change is good,i have high hope for things to come in my future!

sassy49senior: I am guilty of reliving a bit of the past today.

Just thought you might need one of those. Can I have a cup of that coffee?
