If a man definitely does not want kids but the woman he is with wants them and despite his wishes she goes ahead and gets pregnant anyway, who should bear the financial cost of raising the child? Guys what would you do in a situation like this? popcorn

Support my child in the best way that I can.

Not sure about whether I would continue the relationshipwith the mother, but that would depend on how much I loved her and unfortunately it will have lessened due to the trust being broken.

wave If a couple can't agree on something so important I don't think they should be together, so to me for a women to get pregnant in this situation is stupid, irresponsible and tricking a guy into this is wrong.

I agree, but two wrongs don't make a right.

Just because the mother has been irresponsible does not mean the father should.

If it were me in such a situation, and I kind of was with my children, then I would still want to supprt the child and play a role in their life. To be a father to that child.

If a woman insists on getting pregnant, despite the man making it QUITE CLEAR he does not want kids, then she should bear the financial cost - in my opinion.wine

Also, of course, as dav has said, get a DNA test first anyway.

I have a bit of experiance on this subject.....and first you need a DNA test done ...or you could easily be paying for kids that are not yours for a long time...and correcting this is a costly and dragged out affair....least in GA. anyways....laugh

wave I have answered it as the guy definately did not want children and had made that clear, I also think it raise huge issues's of trust.

If when the child was born the Father wanted to be part of its life , basically had a change of heart, I agree wine

Don't believe men should be tricked into a pregnancy, there is always the risk that the man will want nothing more to do with you OR the child.professor
