heidi2765: Your view of Germany is as correct as your opinion that plastic trumpets in SA being culture and tradition, in fact the vuvuzela was first introduced in 2001.
Regards from sterile Germany.........I would write more , but am searching for instruction in the FIFA handbook of what song to sing at the match starting soon
touche Heidi
But just because the vuvuzela was only introduced ten years ago does not mean that it cannot now be considered as cultural or traditional :)
Germany playing extremely well tonight, dynamic , quick, great first touch, a pleasure to watch 4 - 0 now ....
Mind you, the Aussies are playing with the wrong shaped ball ...

I agree on banning the vuvuzelas - first hand experience. Five vuvus in the warehouse where we had our kick-off celebrations and I knew - a couple of thousand of them could be devastating!
The vuvu I think is the modern-day ram's horn. It is used in local games but I doubt that it numbers in the thousands.
I enjoyed the spirited use of it in the build up to the games but once again - have to agree that they'll have to remain outside the gates.

Talking about wrong balls....vuvuzelas are not allowed at rugby matches in SA.
That is a well informed German Side, they read the FIFA book! Have you noticed how controlled they cheer???? Yes, it will stay 4-0, Gomez has entered! He is another BOYD (Glasgow Rangers) only he can't get the ball in the goal.
Cheers.....for the nice comment on their performance!
