I am single and relatively free of committments so am happy to travel.
From experience most get togethers usually end up in the Midlands as it is easier for all to travel to.

I dont think a lot of people realise how small our country is, i used to be the same untill i travelled it all in a lorry. Ive been to edinburgh many times but not had the chance to stop and look around, hoping to fly up there next summer and take it all in. m

I travelled from Manchester to Birmingham Sat night to a meet up, was a really good night too 
as i dont drive its difficult one, so i couldnt date anyone to far away unless they were willing to travel
Hopefully a special someone will be coming from West Yorks to meet up with me.

I don't drive either and travelling to meet somebody can cost a lot of money and be a waste of time or disappointment so it should only be considered, in my opinion, when you think you know the other person quite well.
yes i agree, but ideally i would like to meet someone who isnt hundreds of miles away like as you say it gets to expensive, so ideally i would like to meet someone in about a 20 miles radius of where i live

In the past I've seen people from over in Glasgow, (so trips both ways).
a couple different coffe-dates from Aberdeen (they were gonna be in Edinburgh, so...)
Someone from down the south of England, a few years ago. One or two visits each way...but the 'distance thing' is hard to swing.

Good question! Suppose it would depend if the guy would share the travel? Had relationship with a guy bout 40 miles away and that worked well for quite a while. Unlike debbie i drive so its easier. Trouble is you can't just look in your local area, your 'soul mate' could be anywhere (god i sound a right saddo!)

If the person in question really cares about you , then he/she would look at what is practical and will ask for no more . Practicality is the foundation of a sound friendship / relationship . Be open
If it was to meet you i'd go to the moon n back,otherwise 100 miles ;o)

For the right person/people I'd go anywhere. Always on the go anyway so it wouldn't be much of a problem
