Hi Amendawave

How long do I boil them for? Wash? Do you mean take the skin off? I need measurements I'm afraid

Here's a fast one for you and it's very tasty too

Shrimp 1 lb
Garlic 6 cloves
Paprika 1/2 Teaspoon
Lemon Pepper 1/2 teaspoon

Sautee the shrimp in Canola oil until cooked. Add spices. Sautee a bit longer. Eat

Personally I LOVE garlic so I put in tons of it.

I'm too lazy to write out a recipe but if you make chicken salad for sandwiches, try adding some Apple minced VERY fine. It tastes really good. Might surprise you. I like some smoked salt in it (chicken salad) too. That's a good unusual spice. I use that a lot too.

I learned of this when in Peru. It amazed me how the lemon juice actually prepared, cooked, the fish.

Ceviche

2 pounds of tilapia fillets, diced (you can also use other white fish fillets)
1 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice
1 fresh yellow hot pepper, seeded and chopped (if you can’t find it, use a habanero pepper)
1/2cup of celery, chopped
2 garlic cloves, chopped
2 large red onions, cut into long thing strips - julienne style
3 tablespoons of fresh cilantro, chopped
1 cup of lemon juice
Boiled corn, cut in 2 inch pieces
Boiled sweet potatoes, cut in slices
Lettuce leaves

Preparation:
Put the fish into a large glass bowl with the lemon juice (1 1/2 cup), cover, and put in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

Drain the lemon juice from the fish and add the hot pepper, celery, garlic, onions, cilantro, salt, pepper and the rest
of the lemon juice (1 cup). Put in the fridge until ready to serve.

Serve the ceviche on top of lettuce leaves. Enjoy with corn, rice, and sweet potatoes on the side!

You guys are making me hungry! rolling on the floor laughing

That's the 2nd recipe I've seen on here where you boil chicken. Does that remove the extra fat or? Just not a method I would usually use to cook it?

Thanks

Hi Pirateluvr,

Thanks for your post...but what's meaning of Sautee pls? laugh
and I can't find Canola oil here...it seems that not easy for me to learn cook here...how can I get your western materials? lol

But one thing I really clear is that western cooker can tell clearly the exactly measurement but for a Chinese cooker, what he tells you most is: appropriate amount...and how much is this suitable amount...maybe only he knows...just rely on experiences....

let me tell you in detail now:

first boil it because we want to clean it completely but pls don't take the skin off, I think maybe cook only 1-2 minutes and clean it with water to minus those foams...

and the amount of coca cola, I think just cover the chicken wings and for soysauce I think maybe one spoon, if you like salty, add a little more also okay....

Hope you understand now....laugh

I am about to fillet two black bream that I caught in a nearby river and have the fish for our evening meal. It is a simple recipe, where I beat an egg , dip the fish in it and then roll the fillets in spiced bread crumbs and fry in olive oil for two minutes each side. That, with fresh salad and maybe some potato chips , makes a simple meal.professor confused professor

Put the frying pan the cooker, pour some oil into the pan, heat it up. Take an egg, crack it and tip into the pan.

Butter two slices of bread and when the egg is cooked...put it on one slice of bread, add salt and pepper then place the other slice over the egg...cut it in half...and viola, an egg sarnie!
