Yes, true, I guess. I just think he needs to do MORE to distance himself from the miliary faction, as that will always be Sinn Fein's hinderance in world politics.
I have personally always believed in a United Ireland, have done extensive historical research and have tried to remain open minded. I grew up with a Catholic, Republican father and a Protestant English mother so I experienced both sides of the argument.
As usual, the Irish could not resist fighting amongst themselves. If they had unified many centuries ago, I believe we would be now experiencing a strong, unified and prosperous Ireland, and the concept of North and South divides would be a thing of nightmares only.
