Most of what I write seems to be going over many peoples head. Sorry I will make it simpler and reply without all the explanations so it is simple to understand. doh

Or they can read between the lines...and see the truth.

Croppy, I reckon you've been burnt in the past (probably badly). And now you live by the rule of ..'Fool me once, shame on you..fool me twice.....'.

Live everyday as it's your last. What happened 5mins ago. It happened it's history (in the past and no amount of griping is going to change it)..

Trust me on this..talk to a rasta, ask for some finely cut herbs and make a brew..(<--you will see thing very different)

Hey, good comment and even wise perhaps but you will never know will you. Enjoy the brew and the rest of your life as today may be the last day on earth for you. That Rasta bit is not my scene at all, careful now.

Best wishes from Croppy

Before the advent of modern pens, there was ink and quills, or something similar, and a typical students desk would have an "ink well". It was usually a hole in the wooden top of the desk, where you would place a container full of ink.

It wasn't uncommon for the boys to take the pigtails of the girl sitting in front of them, and dip them into the ink well. It was even more common if they really liked them.grin

I have no recollection of any of what you say… Perhaps our school was too modern to our good.

By the way, my Mom would kill whoever has dripped my pig-tails in ink. (Sometimes I wondered if she knew that I already was born and had my own life.)

We didn't have the ink or quills, but did have the desks with the hole cut into them.

Shame really, I figured that would have been great fun.grin

…pursuit of love… when you are 11 years old. The best romantic thing that ever happened to me was a boy carrying my school bag to my home. It certainly was unselfish at that age. Everything that happened after can’t possibly be comparable to that, can it?laugh

the most romantic thing I ever did was to play the part of an ugly sister in cinderella when I was 11 so I could be near a girl I fancied from my sister's dance school - the girl was playing cinderella .. probably the most annoying thing I ever did was to get my brother roped in on the act to play the other ugly sister laugh
