jac379: I'm a tailor, so I see women in their undies all the time.
I don't look for there flaws, I look for what is good and what I can focus on to make their clothes look good.
I find it hard to believe that if a man has a naked woman in front of him, is he really going to say, "No thanks, love. You've got a couple of unsightly dimples on your butt".
I also very rarely come across a woman who feels good about her body.
You're right, the fashion, dieting and media industries have projected very unrealistic imagery. I verges on caricature.
and the most wondrous sight that can befall a mans eyes ...we have sung about it ...painted it- wrote countless poems plays and books ....etc.. and I surley didnt pop out of a mans body

diogenes: A few extra pounds if fine. Big fat fatty fat isn't. Some ladies can't tell the difference, so I always go by the breath test. Now let me tell you right up front and honest, that some ladies find the breath test offensive. Okay, some ladies also want a man who is open, and shares his thoughts, and feelings. So in fairness, this is honestly what I think and feel...
If I go downtown to chow on the meow, and I can't breath because belly fat is stuffing up my nostrils, then ya probably got a few tooo many extra pounds.
Not to down myself or anything but I do compare myself to the famous men out there, Granite I haven't been active in the last couple years and for some reason have gained a mass amount of weight due to over eating for boredom sakes....
I was a "plank of wood" when I was little, eventually eating so much caught up to me.. as I am not as half as active as I was when I was a child, I've got more paper work to do "Refering to school" in which I need to focus on.
I weighed like 140lbs in middle school... and that wasn't very long ago.... in highschool I was only 165lbs and now I weight 187lbs I think, and it's created a gut looking feature...to my waist line.
So compairing to the Celebrities I completely understand, But I also take in that I don't have 1,000,000 to spend on a Health provider and a Routine workout system for a year.... Most of us don't... and you usually have your system set when your a teenager, if you're lucky.
I don't care how skinny, plump, or slightly over weight you are, if you look gorgeous then you look gorgeous, I don't second rate you to someone else...

Veritaas: The author of this thread has not made a comparison between celebrities and regular folk who are not in the media spotlight.
Just so you know which I am sure you do, alot of women do actually use celebrities as their role models, dreaming and wishing they were just like them. As said in a previous post on this thread, Media is very influential and alot of it is aimed at women specifically, with all the advertising, though men are increasingly becoming more concious of their grooming skills these days.

In response to: When men look at a womans body? I always heard he overlooks the flaws like cellulite. Is this true? Or does men expect a woman to have a perfectly fit body?
My last girlfriend had stretch marks, and cellulite, made no difference to the way I felt about her or her body, in fact I always thought of these, so called imperfections, as a part of her character, there is no such thing as a perfect body, and often it is the imperfections that create the attraction. Hopefully women see men in this way also

look at a man and a woman "naked"... always women's bodies 's an art...but men 're perfectly ugly...
afterbam: sure... very easy to paint the tinglywigily between his legs...
Hey now that I am not strictly into painting that. I work on finding all the muscles and getting them in and finding his manly face, his jaw line, his nose and getting that in there, and is legs and last but never least His arms, oh boy, oh yeahhhh every part of a man can be Hot to me..
