I am a bit of a technophobe, but somehow, I have managed, on and off to get some of my favourite tracks onto my mobile to use as ringtones. Don't ask me how though!! I have quite a few songs on there now so I can swap them around when I get bored!
Just wondering what ringtones people have, and why?
(well, it is a quiet night on here!! )
Ringing Tone: "Love is in the Air" by John Paul Young
Ohhhhh, don't get me wrong....mobile ringtones actually drive me mad in a public place, so if mine goes off in public, I stop it as soon as I possibly can so nobody else has to suffer my weird taste in music!
It's just really for when I am at home in the house or the garden. Having your favourite tunes on there just brightens the day a bit!
I´ve chosen to have a normal, old fashioned ring tone on my mobile phone. In the past however I do admit to having fave tunes of mine, but whenever I hear a ringtone I immediately make a judgement of the phone owner based on whether I like the tune. Wrong I know!
I just think it´s a bit naff, and embarrassing when I hear some "cool" music and the owner is a bespectacled, suited, and whatever male phone owner. Equally when I see a middle aged woman on the train for example, answering her phone to a tone which is not of her generation.
I love music, whatever the decade or generation, don´t get me wrong, but there´s something uncomfortable for me about someone who has a ring tone clearly not appropriate to the age.

yeah...i can imagine!
Like I say, despite this thread, I am VERY careful to turn the mobile off really quickly if I am out and about, cause I know how much ringtones annoy people. Definitely would have it turned off in a meeting or cinema/theatre etc.

Love this song...used to practise my samba to it. Also it is featured in one of my favourite films "Strictly Ballroom"
Text Tone: "Mustang Sally" - Andrew Strong
a Wilson Picket song from the film "The Commitments"
Reminder Alarm: "Giddy Up" - Matt Scullion
Just love this song!! Every time it comes on, it really cheers me up! :
