My friendships are very treasured.
I have two very treasured gifts as well - a tea kettle, and a small hand carved buddha.

I am in love,not with gender,but with one who is humane.And these are my friends,true blue.

friends,they say are Gods excuse for an extended family.Family is a treasured gift that I have every day and the problem with society these days is that even families are distant and that i think lessens the friendship bond.So I say make as many friends as you want that makes you have a bigger family

Humongous difference, true friendship is deep. Someone you can share anything with good or bad, trust with your life and soul, will be there always and vice versa. They are the ones who stick around when times get ugly and you're not at your best. I could go one but I'm sure you get the picture.
Acquaintenceship is more surface level. You do things with but you don't trust your deepest and darkest to. To me Men seem to have more aquaintenceships than what I would classify as friendships. I'm not sure why, probably a reluctance to discuss anything deep. But that would be my interpretation of what friedship is, not necessarly a mans
