Hey you definately don't put oil on burns, unless you want to make them worse.tomatoes are bad as well they are full of acid.Try cold water, drink plenty of it while you are in the shower.

Aloe Vera.. its the best

Pull it straight off the bush.. crush it up and get the slimy goo and just plaster it on!

It stinks but its the best..

The indigenous folk have been using it for thousands of years to treat burns and other skin irritations..

Aloe-Vera,find a fresh leaf and peel a bit of the dark green outer skin off, then cover the burnt area with the juicy part.
Check any farmer type markets for a plant, check Coles, Woolies for Aloe Vera products, or health shops most those will have some Aloe Vera cream.

If you can't find, try looking in health shops for paw-paw cream

Is she hot? Is she single? Will she help you apply the moisturiser?? banana

cucumber is good grin slice it up and place it on the burnt skin or cut it into big chunks and rub the fleshy bit over the skin (the option you choose depends on whether you can stand rubbing anything on it or not laugh )

and yep aloe vera is good but if you dont have a plant then its not as easy as going into the garden to break off a leaf

when we were kids, mu mum used to use calomine lotion on our sunburn.. it took the sting out but it certainly didnt stop the skin from peeling

Aloe Vera creams/plants/extracts are the best. If you're really burnt then pop it in the fridge for a little while then apply.

Second choice is any sorbelene cream again cool it in the fridge...

then you hit the moisturisers preferably without perfumes.

Never use ANY OIL BASED product.... we cook in oils and butters, so you are only cooking yourself further.

Hi, Butter ?? That remedy is as old as the hills and a dud that actually makes it worse. A tepid shower works well though you need to stay in it for atleast 15 mins.Drink plenty of water and take a Panodol or Aspro Clear or something of that nature.

Good One! but probably only practical for someone from the land of the long cloudy days...

We have to live in the environment we have.. and that means Slip Slap Slop... its a commonsense approach that actually prevents sunburn...

soaking in warm, salty bath will help with the sting & itchy, then as everyone is saying aloe vera cream or a vitamin E cream...but make sure you do every day cause you will have the itchy for a while then of comes the peeling...GOOD LUCK

Another good remedy that works brilliantly for bruises or knocks - best used just after it happens - takes the pain away (amazing!) is calendula - but you need to get some and keep it in the cupboard just for moments like this.... They sell wee little jars of it too and they last for ages, depending on how big the area is that needs treating of course....uh oh

Good luck!

My Younger brother had bad sun burn on the nose, and was really bad, an old doctor who would always use old remedies said just get a tomato cut it in half and gently rub it over the sunburn and in no time at all it will be gone, don,t know to this day why it worked but by the next day it was all good again, and we have used it anytime we have have had sun burn, so it works for our family, so give it a try if nothing else available.
