My most favourite of them all is calendula cream - brilliant for knocks and bruises, particularly if used immediately!

The best, most economical, simplest thing I've come across is eye makeup remover, toffee conversing

You know how you have to spend close to 10 bucks for a tiny bottle that might last a couple of weeks or so sigh

All you do is put a couple of drops of baby shampoo and baby oil in water (I boil then cool it, so it's sterile) .. use the bottle that you last bought the commercial stuff in .. shake it and viola, it's brilliant wine Just use those cotton wipes to apply it.

I bought no-name shampoo and oil (I read the labels and they have EXACTLY the same ingredients as Johnson's at a fraction of the price). I've been using it for months and months and the bottles are still almost full, have saved a fortune and it's just as good, if not better than the expensive, commercial stuff.

Brilliant idea Serene, might try than one myself, thanks. Where did you find that one?

I am bad and sometimes use a night cream or day cream as my eye makeup remover - but sometimes using an old one that isn't a favourite would mean nothing is wasted - yes? grin

Peppermint oil 3 drops in a glass of water every morning, will settle the stomach, clear the head and nose, also keeps your breath fresh, make sure you don,t use more than 3 or 4 drops as it is really strong and has a kick to it if you make it to strong.

What a clever idea - it has so many good uses but never thought of that one. I guess we should use the real stuff, not the pretend. No poisoning yourself anyone!

For a natural dog shampoo that helps repel fleas professor

1 cup all natural dishwashing liquid and

1 cup water (mix tog. well in a bowl, without beating)

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1/3 cup glycerin (keeps the coat shiny)

Pour into a clean empty bottle and shake before use.

It lathers beautifully and doesn't irritate my dog's skin at all, he smells great after too laugh

If you want heaps of good ideas for natural, effective and so-cheap-it's-almost-illegal stuff laugh just google it.

I'm always looking for ways to avoid commercial products, I think they're such a rip off, expensive packaging and full of chemicals dunno

The base ingredients are cheap as, and end products last a zillion times longer - just remember to keep some bottles, jars, spray bottles etc ready for use.

If cockroaches are a problem, put some epsom salts and cloves in the spots where you'd normally put commercial baits .. it really works wine

You are probably talking about Spotless by Shannon Lush. She is the stain removal guru that often appears on the ABC local radio. I bought her bookk for me andhave since bought about 20 copies for friends .. she hates chemicals too, her most common solution is vinegar and bi-carb soda...

You can probably get a heap of fixes off the net if you google Shannon Lush with stain removal.

My favourite is talcum powder sprinkled on squeaky floorboards stops the squeak... easier to sneak home and up the stairs after having a skinful... beer wine cheers

Some very Natural fixes for stressful times.

Smile. It really works. Not just with your mouth. Put your whole face into it. Its very hard to return to woe is me when you have forced yourself to do a couple of these and held them for a few seconds.
(Actually told to me by Hello you. I've heard it before but this time I decided to practise it)

Arguments. When faced with an argument you can't physically avoid. Respond back with something that has absolutely zip to do with what they are having a go at you over. You'll throw them completely off kilter and confuse them. They will walk away

(OK probably only 50% successful and won't work on Partner / Flatmate but on outsiders who only fleetingly impose themselves on your universe its quite good)
