We had a bit of snow overnight. Not much so far but it's snowing again and got quite windy in the last few minutes.

I'm off to the shop to stock up on coal in case it gets any worse. snowglobe snowglobe

Wouldn't chance it if I were you. Roads have become treacherous even down here and we seldom get very bad ice or snow as we are by the sea and further south.

I took a chance and drove to Rosslare as the main roads were ok. Was only in the shop for about 10 minutes. By the time I got out the roads had frozen and it was pelting snow. Not a pleasant drive home.

No I think err on the side of caution, unless you really have to the roads are pretty bad up here (Monaghan) which is not that far from Cavan and its freezing already.
If you do..just be soooo careful

Sativa_Soul: No snow in Dublin out in the airport area where I am but there is CRAZY thunder at the moment and lightening a few hours ago. Crazy but have to admit that I love thunder and lightening so its good by me! And no snow, which is even better!

the thunder and lightning was crazy, at one point sounded like it was right over the house

You might be walking. If it gets as bad as it's forecast I'd say taxis will stop working. They have to be safe too.

john2: its snowing

We've got about 5/6 inches on the ground here... the kids are loving it.

I went out to Tesco for the few essentials and saw a four car pile up at a roundabout already... a lovely '10 Audi smashed front, back and drivers side. conversing
