All religions are a lie! They are all based around the zodiac charts if you take a closer look? That's drawing a long bow! The fish is probably used as a symbol by early followers of Jesus as they could hardly use a cross ... he hadn't been crucified yet. Also ... would you use the symbol of your Rabbi's method of execution? The cross came much later as did most of the New Testiment books of the Bible. About 300 years later, after the Conference of Nicocea that Emporer Constantine convened to get the many bickering Christian factions to agree to a basic theology for Christianity.

TutorGirl: I was stopped by a guy the other day at the train station and had to listen to half an hour of information about the book of mormon because i cant tell someone to go away lol. he was very nice but annoying because i am a christian. has anyone else experienced this and how did they deal with it?
Sorry to everybody else, I don't meant to bible bash any of you, but you may find this little info useful if you meet Mormons with their little black book on the street.
I used to stop and talk to these guys and point them out how wrong they were. Here is a little help. They often point out to you Eph. 2:20 to prove that they are the only legitimate biblical religion:
Ephesians 2:
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone,
21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord
So I asked one of them when the epistle was written. He answered, in the first century. OK, let's have a look at the grammar. What does *having been built* mean? At this point he realised something was wrong. He said, "I don't want to look at the grammar". I said, "You need to look at the grammar, because it means the foundation already existed and the building built in the first century". He kept repeating, "I don't want to look at the grammar". And they walked away.
I used to be polite and let them talk a bit.... but i soon learnt to be straight to the point.......
Had a couple of bible bashers at the door yesterday and maturer ladies at that and they opened their book and proceeded to tell me the most questions asked blah blah
My reply..... I have no questions, never asked questions, not interested...have a great day... and I smiled......truely

I tell them l believe in evolution and l am not interested and shut my door. My mother says lm rude but if she sees them heading towards her door she tells me to get read of them...

If I remember correctly, they either have to give the Mormon church a whole year's income or they need to go on a mission for a year. I am not sure about the exact figures. But they have to do it.
