How did we "remove" the predatory animals?

I am a member of PETA >>>> People Eating Tasty Animals, hey if God didn`t want us to eat animals, He wouldn`t have made them out of meat.

If we are superior to other animals -- if our nature is of a different kind than other animals -- then why should we grant rights to species who can not talk, or compose symphonies, or induce mathematical equations, or build satellites which send back television pictures of other planets? Why shouldn't we humans simply regard lower animals as things which may become our property? We may be kind to animals if it is pleasing to us to do so, but we should not grant animals an equal stature that nature has not given them. Respect for nature requires a respect for the nature of what things are ... and we are better, stronger, smarter, than the animals we hunt, ranch, farm, fish, trap, butcher, skin, bone, and eat.

It’s a shame that our founding fathers reasoning with “the right to bare arms” has gotten so lost in today society. It so simple, incase the need arises they were meant to protect us form foreign and domestic threats (Period). The fact they had guns to feed their families was just commonsense then and now.

Anything beyond this is sad.

Why, indeed? By that logic, why don't we slaughter our own mute, our citizens who cannot compose symphonies, induce mathematical equations or build satellites that send back television pictures of other planets?

Why shouldn't we humans simply regard other humans and those less intelligent and not as "advanced" as us as property?

Because they are of the human race, I think you are really far out on a limb with this argument.

Do you eat any animal producta at all?

nope.

in fact, i even make my own soap, from all-vegetable oils.

in cooking, i only use soy proteins, and no gelatin, no red dyes, no fats or bases whatsoever. i shoot for organics, as well.

no leather or fur, either.

So one could safely say that you are a diehadr animal lover, and you believe other creatures have rights just as human beings have rights? Is this correct?

one could safely say...that i am a diehard lover of LIFE...and i'm a bit sensitive.

i cannot handle the thought that an animal dies to feed me...or for my use. i can't take that loss of life on my conscience. if said animal died of natural causes...i might be able to eat it, except for the fact that the 'eww' factor is much higher now that it's been so many years.

rights? yes. same as you and i...that's pushing it.

Well I personally think that there is nothing wrong with hunting and fishing .... unless its only for trophy hunting and the meat is not used. My family and extended family and various friends have hunted for years. It has put meat on our table many a time.

Truly how is this any different than buying a package of hamburger at the store? Cows, chickens and pigs are killed as well does it make it easier because the meat is packaged as opposed to seeing the carcass? If you eat meat - the animal had to die at some point - so at least be realistic about that - it doesn't mean that hunting of wildlife is a barbaric practice in the least.

While I do not agree with your ideas on animal rights, I do respect your views. Every one has to live with themselves, and your choice is not to comsume animals or animal products. I do enjoy eating steaks, and, fish, and, poultry. That is my choice. conversing

Exactly, at some point, some one had to kill the animal. It does look all nice and neat when you see it at the supermarket though.

Did you ever notice that chicken at the market has no feathers? dunno

i wouldn't try and convince you otherwise.

you don't live in my house, lol...i could never live with a hunter, it brings it all home a bit more than i can handle. and i'm not cooking it, either...but as i'm one hell of a cook, my hubby didn't miss it much, and when he did, he fired up the barbeque.

also, to throw this out there, the effects of raising beef are quite detrimental to our planet...the waste isn't treated, and is flooding our ground-water...for every pound of feed-lot beef, seven pounds of grain could have been produced...ah, that's a topic for another thread, heh.

Personally I am a hunter. But I have given up my rifle and taken up my bow. So instead of the ability to shot something from 300 yards away I now have to be at least 40 yards away. Does this make me a better person? I think not. I still use all the meat, as I did before, yet I still kill animals. I will continue to do so until it is no longer possible to do so.
I am also a photographer, so I have shot many animals not in season.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
