I became single and living alone in my early forties and to date I´m quite happy with it. Perhaps it´s still a novelty for me I like being able to eat what, how, and when I prefer, to go out after work with friends without having to make that phone call and perhaps be faced with hostility or some kind of guilt trip. To leave the household chores for a day or two because I´m the only one it will affect, to have control of the remote control, to have male friends without suspicion, to spend time with friends as much as I want regardless of whether he likes them or not.....etc etc.
There are so many positive aspects of living as a single woman, however I don´t like it when I´m feeling ill and need a little tlc, when being ripped off financially with holiday accommodation and other things as a single, or when something in the house breaks down, because I don´t know one end of a screwdriver from another!
There probably are more negatives but I just can´t think of them at the moment.

Everything has two sides. If your lucky you can stay on the good one longer . . . . .

The worst part is if you want breakfast in bed-you have to get up and make it yourself, sneak round a few local gardens to steal a flower for the tray, then you have to get the car out to go to the shops because you forgot to buy orange juice....by then it's almost lunchtime, so what the hell!!
The best part is that you get to eat all the chocolate biscuits
