well it means think how a woman feels about something what would you do if faced with that situation and how do you cope with it or at least thats my 2 cents anyway they have to be able to let emotions come and go to be able to express the femanine side

believe it or not every man and i mean everyone has a femanine side.. some use it more than others.. they use it when they actually sit and listen to what someone has to say.. when they show great compassion towards another human being or animal.. by thinking about how a woman feels to be going through something they couldnt possibly understand and listen to what she has to say .. if we werent so damned confusing we woulnt have a problem with a man understanding us.. ..
think about it.. we (women.) well most of us.. are always chaning our mind.. but we want men to understand how we feel.. how are they supposed to know and understand if we dont even know or understand it ourselves..

Think about how a woman feels? Yeah, because men understand women so well.
I don't know what a man's feminine side is. Every man has a sensitive, emotional, vulnerable aspect of himself, but I wouldn't necessarily call that a feminine side.

So true, Mother Earth. For me it is the freedom of expression. The freedom from repression. It is to fully express how you feel no matter others may say. It is the opening of a flower. It is the flight of the eagle. It is the beauty of the rose. It is telling the world I am a alive. It is the fun of being told my fellow nurses that I am just one of the girls, lol. They wanted to get me a wig, lol.

I believe it simply means for a man to be in touch with his "sensitive" side.
Societies tend to demand that boys "act like a man" from a very early age.
What the hell does it mean to "Act like a man?" Don't cry, don't show weakness, in short, don't show sensitivity.
Why do we teach are males to behave this way? Because our society is based on competition and if you let your guard down and show sensitivity to your competitors you will get stomped on.
It's a shame that we have fallen into this trap of creating insensitive male monsters at an early age, but we have.
It's a shame because it doesn't need to be this way.
It's a shame because we should be pushing cooperation instead of competition.
But we don't.
And ironically women are now becoming a big player in the competitive world. Yet we still don't teach them to desensitize themselves early on. Thus proving that the whole tradition was bogus in the first place.
We create the monsters we live with.
Men are not responsible for merely behaving as society has taught them to behave.

I didn't say they aren't competitive.
On the contrary I suggested that they are, and yet they weren't raised in a society that told them they shouldn't cry, etc.
I'm suggesting that the whole "macho trip" was totally unnecessary, and the fact that women do compete in today's society proves it.

Well, still, the end result is the same. You were basically being taught to hide your emotions and keep them to yourself. (i.e. Hide your "feminine side" as they call it)

It could not be explained any better than what texas said, as it is all about taking just that extra second or minute out of our time instead of Ohh I'm rushing to a meeting , will you be alright here on your own, Nurses show the very best in feminine nature as is possible and male Nurses have learnt an awful lot from the female's about caring and understanding.
To say about understanding a woman she I think is also right as Hormones make a woman sometimes very loving other times very emotional and sometimes even a bit crazy to the point that she forgets what it is that was bothering her and as she no longer understands it is very difficult for the man to understand.
On the light side I would like to understand more of the memory aspect, a woman can forget in 20 seconds where she left her keys but will always remember the night 20 years before when the man smiled at another woman, Well i could say something else but I think the women here would string me up by the very short & curlies.
