This makes my back hurt just reading about it. I feel for you. Twice in my life I've had two spinal spasms, which laid me up for weeks afterwards and is the most excruciating pain I've ever had in my life, hands down. I've got two degenerated disks in my lower back and two fused vertebrae which at times press against my sciatic nerve making my legs go partially numb, all the way down to my heel. These days fortunately, I don't have a LOT of trouble out of it. I try to keep active even though it's not the easiest thing to do. But some days it doesn't take much to get me to a point I'm not good for much of anything.
I haven't had any medical tests like what you describe and if I can keep from it, I will never have back surgery for it. Only if absolutely necessary. I hope that day never comes.

I'm a New Ager, so I don't pray, but I will try to send some "healing energy". Doubt it'll do anything, though. Hasn't done a damn thing for me yet - I've got a bad back, bad knee, bad elbow, and bad shoulder. But I'll try.

Tomorrow, I will be put to sleep while they run an epidural and scope down the spine to try to inject the herniated discs and also to explore why I am having numbness in one leg.
Please think about me, and for those that pray, I would appreciate your prayers.
