... not happy with your life? Single? Married? Thinking of throwing in the towel and searching for greener pastures and a whole new/different/BETTER lifestyle?? What are the pros and cons of both? What's good about single? What's good about married? Is the grass really greener on the other side or are there weeds in both? ... Opinions appreciated ... grin

Happiness is a choice, sure there are things that make it harder, but being happy is something you choose to become and work at. People who think things like "If only I got a raise" , "If only I can get married" or "If I have another child" "then I would be happy". Will never achieve happiness since all those things will just become a part of your life schedule. Sure those things can enrich life, but by themselves will not make you a happy person. You have to learn to enjoy the processes in your life to be happy, and not focus on the outcomes which are often not in your total control.

Hi ah wave

Well it's pretty simple really...

If you want to change lifestyles... do it.. If you want inner peace and happiness... think it... If you want more money.. study and progress to achieve it.

There will always be days when things don't go to plan, but hopefully, they are short lived... and if you focus on what you want.. I reckon it comes.. all by itself. .. just about when its suppose to.

I am single.. and I sort of like it but I think I would prefer to be with someone.. however... I must admit..I am in a time of life where I can afford to think along these lines... whereas perhaps when my focus was otherwise... I certainly was not even considering it.. I was far too focussed on my sport.. and then one day... Just like that... I decided no more.. and my life changed heaps... but for the better... I must admit.. bouquet

Unless I move to some place where the population if 95% men and 5% women...then I would say no the grass is not greener.
You ask a lot of questions. What's good about marriage? Commitment, a sense of belonging, hopefully a love that lasts forever and not taken away by apathy, tempation or death.

Sometimes its just astroturf.

Sharing ones life with someone is a decision. We either carry it thru, or realise we were wrong.

life is what you make it, and it is also an experience. some people are just meant to be single, because there is so much freedom involved, but I guess most of us dream of being in a loving, compatible, and long term relationship, where you can be there for each other, in good times, and bad.hug sad flower teddybear

It's not easy I know... but it's the pure truth... You need to work with ur "issues" , let go things and people and feelings... and just realize this is your life... that's happening now... whatever it be... and of course be thankfull of everything you've got...and accepting what will come .
