I've not used that function of it yet. But going by the info there, it can be used to clear a whole drive.

It also claims top be able to only clear free space.

Maybe try it and see.

Do you have a external hard drive that you could afford to lose the data on? If so, practice on that. It might recognise it as a hard drive, or should do anyway.

No it doesn't.

I've had it on my systems for years, and have never been asked to pay for it. It's always been a free bit of kit.

Where do YOU download it from, as they are trying to rip you off

Play safe. If you have just downloaded it then do not click any options that the system has not clicked for you. Remember also to write down important passwords too just in case. I deleted a file using CC once and I had to re run Windows XP disc to reinstall drivers after messing about.

You have the Options of FREE Space Only,or ENTIRE DRIVE!
Using FREE SPACE ONLY,wipes only the FREE SPACE!
ENTIRE DRIVE would result in Loss of all your Data!
Not sure what would happen to the Operating System.
Maybe Nothing, since you can't Uninstall Widows from within itself, can't induce it to commit Suicide, but stranger things happened!laugh

I've become alittle rusty with some of the computer stuff.

If you're a beginner at any computer stuff and not sure and if at anytime you do need to Clean a CD driver and you're in doubt of whether you'll lose anything just create a backup disc and save all your goods and then reload it after. Also make absolutely sure that any thing you buy computer related is campatable with your machine or you could have problems.

Also be careful of any free stuff you download offline cause sometimes you can only use it for a short time and then they want you to purchase it.

There's a possibilty that your internet speed could be the problem.Or you need to get rid of spyware which could also affect your speed.Sometimes you can get the spyware removel free but I would contact a computer repair man too.Unless you really know what you're doing you could cause yourself alot more headaches.Plus you could also loose everything. Not unless you back everything you wish to keep first.

I'm not an expert in computers myself and am alittle rusty at times and will forget what my late husband taught me or what I learned by watching him.

But at the very same time I've remembered enough not to get myself into trouble.laugh
