I believe that it is quite possible that we are not alone in the universe, even on this planet.

It is quite possible that other intelligences/entities exist here which are beyond human eyes or perceptions.

This would scientifically explain the religion phenomena...

cool No my darlings... none of you are alone.... I have been sent here to watch over you all. I come from another galaxy, far far away... thousands of your years away.... with instructions to watch over each of you. You are never ever alone. When you think you lost your car-keys.... tis I who moved them. When you find youve run out of sugar... twas I who used the last of it. Same with the tea-bags and coffee. And the toilet-rolls and toothpaste. All those little things will re-assure you that I am eternally doing my work I was sent here to do. When your phone rings and there is no-one on the other end.... tis I! When your cat perks up its ears, tis I she sees... as I am invisible to your eyes. Tis only here, on this Forum where I make myself visible by writing and re-assuring you of my continued presence of love and care.
And rest assured... we do not view you as strange aliens.... just some of you, a very small amount of you are realy strange, but the rest of you are okay.
Of course that is not my photo next to this posting... that is my Great great great grandmother who is many thousands of years older than me... we only use her photo because she sort of resembles you humans quite remarkably. Shalom and Peace be unto you all... and Listen to Wedward... He is a Wise Mancool

Great question...are we alone? Yes, I think we are...we learn to interact with others and we all have the need to belong somewhere not to feel alone...
But in all our significant moments in our life we are alone!
We are born alone...when we are ill we feel alone even if there is people around us, when we feel very happy we can share it in words but its only us that knows how deep that feeling is ...and we die alone...
Sad? not really if you make sure you accept the one person that will be with you all the way...yourself!!!!
Then you realise that the most important thing in our life is to learn to love, appreciate and be best friends with the person we see every day in the mirror...That person is your best friend through all your life and the only one that really understands you, feels you, knows you truly ...

Also sprach not Zaratthustra in that case but your next door average girl ME!!! :-)

Well, it seems everyone reads and styas up with the sciences and their publications regarding "aliens" or exobiology matters....if it were publically revealed that we are not alone, have never been alone, would it really make any differences at all in your lives and if so, how, why. After all these years since the various military services around the world have made their cases that we are not alone, what does it matter anymore? Or did the showing on television of films by aircraft gun-cameras and tv cameras of live broadcasts from Mexico city just a couple of years ago, somehow slipped your notice....as did the French, Belgian and Russian films made by their stations, aircraft etc. It was around 1955 that the first US military finding pronounced their findings that we are not alone. Despite all their subsequent denils, those findings are still on record, as those of Col. Phillip Corso.former advisor to President Eisenhower, and Chief of the Army's Foreign Technology Division to which retrieved alien technology was distributed. It is all a matter of public record, as are the current projects on trying to duplicate alaien technology as outlined in the bookSight Unseen by Bud Hopkins and Carol Rainey...read a little. %)

Does it matter? By the time you get a response from the planet Xanu problaby 10.000 light years have passed. Bottom line, it won´t affect your life as you know it. Same issue as whether there´s an afterlife etc.

I would say we are not alone, If you went to the edge of our solar system where the most powerfull telescope on earth has reached its limit and can see no further, If you took a picture our little planet would appear smaller than a pixel on an a4 sheet of paper, What is beyound our solar syatem? Who knows? If you take us Humans we are not so intelligent the technology we have today was available 1000 years ago, We are slow learnerswine

Maybe this is the Place that Spirits come to, to live in Human Bodies, to Learn? Maybe this Life is a Gift to us? Maybe we are supposed to Love the Earth?

And if so, how have we shown this Love? We have polluted the skies and the water, hollowed out the Earth, removing and displacing the metals and liquids, massacred the Forests, killed the animal life, replaced simple worship with tales of Demons, and destroyed the lives of indigenous peoples, replacing their beliefs with technology, and the wonders of modern plastic.

A short story of a modern conversion:
In Africa, the San (Indigenous Bushmen of the Kalahari) had their children taught in schools about modern life, likening Traffic Lights to a tree, because they had no concept of a motorised vehicle and streets with cross-roads! These children learned that the "modern" way of life is to burn HUGE fires.... their parents only burned what they needed to cook their food... and that to be gainfully employed was to cut down trees and then cut it into smaller logs for the fire. It was estimated that the Original fires of these people consumed a few twigs ... the modern fire consumed an entire tree....done for the sheer joy of Fire and to be "modern" like the White people who were teaching them. cool
