StephyBear91: Maybe you're right shelly, maybe he doesn't love me at all and its probably time i kicked him to the kerb, its so hard to let go of a man you love so dearly, i just dont know where i stand with him, he said he loves me over the phone and in txt but when it comes to being with me in person, he wont say a word and when i say it too him, all he can do is put his head on my should and shrug and say ahuh

you know what, go out, have a good time, visit friends, have a laugh, if another guy asks you out... then GO...

Because this man is not your life.. you have a life, its likely very interesting, and exciting... thats what made you attractive to him (in my opinion).

If he wants you, he will call, he will chase, and he will decide if he does or doesnt love you. Seriously be as sweet and nice as you've always been to him, but DONT sit around waiting for him.

OH and in my opinion, he's playing the little boy lost role, you see chicks play the princess.. well you've got the prince. Do you honestly want to spend the rest of your life playing 20 questions?? and never getting an answer. Unless the man has actually been struck dumb by your captivating personality, and incredible hottie hotness ... then he has NO REASON to carry on like that.

Shrug and say Ahuh... WHAT THE??? Im quite sure that you deserve so much better than that when you share your heart with a man and tell him you love him. If the guy aint excited to hear those words.. then he's a bloody looser.

Get him drunk, then ask him. Maybe if he sheds some inhibition, he might let the cat loose. If he doesn't under the circumstances of having some dutch courage, then maybe you should rethink your position. dunno

StephyBear91: Hi there, I was just wondering how I would go about getting a man to open up and not be so shy around me. The Situation: I've been dating a guy for almost 4 months now, he seems to open up more in txt messaging more then he does when we are actually together. . . He seems all romantic and even says he loves me over txt and phone conversation but in person he is just so shy and I have no idea why. . . He's 23 never had a relationship let alone a woman who cares about him before so maybe this could be inputting it. . . Any ideas or suggestions on what do to do as I don't wanna lose this fella...??

Have you tried a scalpel yet?

Would you ask a divorced person for advice on how to keep your relationship?
I don't think so.
I'd be asking the people who are still together and who were strong and worked through the tough moments and kept it together.
Same as asking single people here for advice, we're all single so it's all bad advice in my opinion, use your own and go with the flow as only you know what you want.

Have you never had or noticed single social workers who never had kids come tell you how to, raise them?

YES I had issue with a 25yo single woman being a marriage guidance counsellor when I was trying (vainly!) to save my marriage...

Probably better than a bitter & twisted divorcee, fresh eyes and aspect where the crusty ol' divorcee would be too close to home to give an independent view point.
