Paldi5: Does anyne have any further thoughts about what can be done?
It seems to me the democracies in the world don't go out of their way to help a new democracy get off the ground. We did nothing for Iran or Egypt. I for one think a coalition of the willing should always be ready to help in any way they can.
Try telling that to this guy on another thread(in the U.S. most of us are just sick of this stuff btw): "I was afraid, when USA alliances attack on independent Libya & start new war."
Always told by everyone we should be helping... and then of course, didn't expect any different than the bolded quote.

Sparky55: Well, it's a sad thing but some see this as an internal issue, I'm one of those.
But, if the world does help, and especially if the US helps, I hope the world remembers that we were asked to help. Even if asked, I predict more of the "The United States are warmongers" rhetoric in our future.
Medsummer: who was it that said "you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time."Are there any solutions to this...nah. There will always be some reason somebody is unhappy to the point of violence being done somewhere.
Time the UN became the world policeman. Just find a willing coalition (of cops) to do the fighting and pay their bill when it's done.
matchbox: please please, world do something they are killing us all, and there using all types of weapons including tanks, that was a resident from al_zawiyah who was speaking to al jazeera by phone a few minutes ago. can the world intervene for these people now before they they all get killed by this brutal gaddafi regime, why is the world doing nothing ????
Don`t waste your time here.... go join the rebels and fight Gadaffi. Many heros will follow your example. Just don`t make your pack cumbersome with so much toilette paper you will need when you face your hated enemies.
