Zimzane: Some of these people have never even been in one. I know what to do, but I was wondering if other people do.
Well, if you have an underground shelter... obviously you'd get to that and wait it out.
I grew up in Texas without such a shelter and had some tornadoes pass very close by several times. I was lucky enough never to be directly faced with one in the 25 years I lived there.

We just have very little ones in Wales. I've seen one in the distance and had my windows rattled rather scarily, but apart from a few flying roof tiles, they're more fascinating than harmful.

Facinating as they are, you never want to play with one. You might just get ripped.
My daughter called me from a basement in Wisconsin, asking if I was watching the news. They had five tornados near them, one was 5 miles away. We know earthquakes but not tornado's. She had to get off the phone fast to call other members of the family in the wake of the tornado's. I wonder if my daughter has a basement in her new home?
