d. the weather, Vic has had no summer and I think I need some sun

Make sure you visit the Crocodile place - it is really awesome! And the wave pool is really fun. Also the museum, the twilight market, the underground storage tanks, Government house - darwin is fantastic! But you can't swim anywhere except a pool. Skip Mandora - it is old, tired and boring.

I have read all the threads - I have a holiday coming up too. Was thinking of Pukhet but was wondering if it is mainly a young people's place. I have been to Bangkok and Chiang Mai - Chiang Mai elephants are not to be missed at Mai Sah.

akaRALF: I need a holiday, but I don't know where. All I know is I want somewhere where nobody knows me, where I can relax, do as little or as much as I want & not too pricey. I am thinking about a week at the end of April for my birthday, just me on my own. I was thinking of a mystery flight but they only really go up to 4 nights and are twin share (like most holiday deals going).

kangaroo Island... or 4 days and nights at my place...roll eyes banana laugh

try blueys rock holes a couple of hours drive towards katherine, just passed humpty doo, take a esky and float around in 100+ rock pools that are all joined together. Adelaide croc cruise but do the midday cruise its a smaller boat and you get closer to the big fellas.
