This Tuesday the White House released their Mid-Session Review admitting they made a $2 trillion miscalculation in the size of the federal deficit that President Barack Obama’s borrow and spend policies would inflict on our nation. Heritage senior policy analyst Brian Riedl details the carnage:
•While President Obama claims to have inherited the 2009 budget deficit, it is important to note that the estimated 2009 budget deficit has increased by $400 billion since his inauguration, and the whole point of the “stimulus” was to increase deficit spending to nearly $2 trillion based on the unproven notion that would it alleviate the recession. •The 22 percent spending increase projected for 2009 represents the largest government expansion since the 1952 height of the Korean War (adjusted for inflation). Federal spending is up 57 percent since 2001.•In 2009, Washington will spend $30,958 per household–the highest level in American history–and under President Obama’s budget, the figure will rise above $33,000 by 2019. •The White House brags that it will cut the deficit in half by 2013. The President does not mention that the deficit has nearly quadrupled this year. Merely cutting it in half from that bloated level would still leave budget deficits twice as high as under President Bush. •The public national debt–$5.8 trillion as of 2008–is projected to double by 2012 and nearly triple by 2019. Thus, America would accumulate more government debt under President Obama than under every President in American history from George Washington to George W. Bush combined.

Hmmm... apparently we could rebuild Japan ten times over with the IMF bailout that's coming to us... makes ya think.
Obama has quadrupled the National Debt, if not further.
When Bush Jr. was in office, we were talking billions of dollars in debt. With Obama, we are talking Trillions.
Did you hear his speech Monday March, 28 about Libya?
I have never seen so many lies by any President before. Just look at this speech again and compare it to what happened today, Tuesday, March, 29, 2011.
Our President is clearly out of touch with reality, world problems and the American people.
I vote for Ccincy, because she would make a better and more knowledgeable President.

Hey Ray...just for fun...I would love to see what/how DUDE (Hot_Single_Dude) would react to this info! I can just see him now, stumbling, and stuttering...trying to figure out what to say to support his hero (obumer) !
Just a thought..... (The devil made me think of this idea)
A few days ago we were like 2 bullies in an Elementary School Yard in a fist fight. Many times we both realize that neither one of us were right or wrong. Then sometimes we become life long friends.
I have to shutdown soon to get back to the campsite in Hawaii.
Which is why I left the private sector, when back to college in 2007 and now work from home and am my own boss..if I'm gonna have my finances run into the damn ground by the government, at least it's gonna be on my terms, NOT theirs.
TheresMyFriend: I think obumer will carry this and it follow him for the rest of his life, where ever he goes...even back to Kenya!
Just saying...
Not really any doubt who is to blame for the economic mess...when Obama took office, the economy was bad, but fixable..now I am not so sure...who is this guy anyway????
Bush will always be blamed by Obama for his woes. The problem is that Obama has been in office for 2 1/2 years and he is too conceited to accept his own blame.

Not that I'm aware of...just look for most any thread title with the word OBAMA in it! You will most likely find him in there...and chances are, that he is the one that started the aforementioned thread.
This post is so full of it that I almost need to put on wading boots to complete it.
The stimulus was needed to prevent the country from going into a depression. The biggest complaint from economists was that it didn't go far enough, should have spent more, not the other way around. Where do you think the unemployment rate would be had it not been for the stimulus?
Another part of that "debt" increase was due to the bank bailouts, which were, by the way, created by greedy corporations and greedier financiers. The majority of which, I would bet, were those on the right side of the aisle.
Then, let's add to that debt the costs of two wars. Neither one of which was ever paid for. Both wars started by a Republican administration.
Social Security didn't add one penny to that debt. Medicaid costs have gone up, due to the increased unemployment, caused by those things I already mentioned. Medicare costs have gone up. But the people using it didn't cause the increases. In fact, medicare recipients pay each and every month into the system. Is less going into the system right now? Of course. Less people are unemployed.
HUGE tax cuts for the top 1% of the population caused about 800 billion dollars of that debt. And Obama "was" stupid to go along with it, so I also blame him for that one.
BUT, the vast, vast majority of that deficit and national debt I hang around the shoulders of those where it precisely belongs, the Republicans and greedy big businesses.
So, lay out "all" the facts, "correct" facts, before laying the blame totally on the Obama administration!!!!!
