cj' yes free health care. I'll take this opportunity to brag a little. Yesterday I spent 7 hours in the hospital. Two X-rays, two IV's, oxygen, full blood work. Cost, O. Not a cent. Got to love that. Paws

I'm actually a half an hour's drive from Canada! I go there quite often, Canadians are pretty cool, of course it doesn't hurt my favorite hockey player is Canadian either (Go Mario Lemieux!)

No kidding! When my son was in the hospital over night for a tonsilectomy, they sent me a bill for $5000 but the bill was generalized. This was just the hospital bill. Not the surgeon. When I asked for a more detailed itemized bill I was floored.
To give you just an idea, they charged us $18.00 for an aspirin.

I was in for 7 weeks (high-risk pregnancy) in '85. Can't imagine what that would cost in the States. We've very fortunate. Hope you are well Paws.
